Featuring the Big Apple Circus’ Hey Ya Brothers and Queens Symphony Orchestra

To kick off its first-ever holiday season, Sky View Center, Flushing, Queens’ 800,000-square-foot shopping mega-center, will celebrate its Grand Opening and launch the Holiday Lighting Extravaganza with a ceremony on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at 5:30 PM.

Following opening remarks from Queens Borough President Helen Marshall, Assemblywoman Grace Meng, Councilman Peter Koo and Onex Real Estate Partners President Michael Dana, principals will flip the switch on the dramatic lighting program timed to holiday music, featuring twinkling snowflakes and stars suspended from the sky of the Center, marking the official grand opening.

Accompanying the holiday light show, will be the Hey Ya Brothers performers from the Big Apple Circus, as well as the Queens Symphony Orchestra filling the Center’s lobby with festive music.

Best Buy, BJ’s Wholesale Club, Bob’s Discount Furniture, Marshalls, Target and Old Navy are now open at Sky View Center, with Bed, Bath & Beyond and additional retailers scheduled to open in the upcoming months.
