Customers can also enter contests on Facebook at www.facebook.com/skyviewcenter to win even more fun prizes!

“Sky View Center has something to offer everyone, from our premier retailers to our family-friendly activities to our spectacular lighting show,” said Michael Dana, President of Onex Real Estate Partners, owner/developer of Sky View Center. “We expect shoppers of all ages to make Sky View Center the go-to mall for all of their holiday shopping needs, offering the convenience of one-stop shopping, great giveaways and dynamic programming for the entire family.”

Many of the national, big-box retailers, including Old Navy, Target, Best Buy, BJ’s, and Bed, Bath and Beyond will open their doors in the early morning and offer some of the best deals of the season.  Old Navy will open its doors at midnight on Black Friday for shoppers to get a jump start on “GobblePalooza,” a three-day sales event running through the weekend. Opening at 4:00 a.m., Target will offer specials such as $3 appliances, deals on HDTVs, 50% off clothing and many other hot deals. Best Buy opens at 5:00 a.m. and will feature such specials as deals on Wii Console Bundles, select laptops for as little as $399, and even Sony Blu-ray players for just $99. BJ’s, which is expected to open at 7:00 a.m., will feature an exclusive Black Friday Coupon Booklet offering member’s savings on select items such as a Sony iPod Docking Station or a HP PhotoSmart printer for only $49.99. Additionally, Bed, Bath and Beyond will be open at 5:00 a.m.

Shoppers will also be able to take advantage of the extended hours at the other retailers including Bob’s Discount Furniture and Marshalls, and will enjoy two hours of free parking through the end of the year.

To further celebrate its new retailers and welcome the community, Sky View Center also kicked-off Sky View Celebrates! – a free Saturday event series, which runs through the holiday season, and features exciting kid’s entertainment such as the Deedle Deedle Dees, and even the Big Apple Circus. Each evening beginning at 6:00 p.m. to closing, through the end of the year, shoppers will be treated to a dramatic lighting program timed to holiday music, featuring twinkling snowflakes, stars and ornaments suspended from the sky of the center with an extended special program running every Thursday and on Black Friday.

Adding to the retail excitement, shoppers can also expect even more openings in the coming months including Payless Shoe Source, Famous Footwear, and Five Guys Burgers, as well as Sky Foods Supermarket, which will be run by a local grocery operator, and Golden Jaguar Buffet.

Located in downtown Flushing and a short distance away from other heavily populated Queens neighborhoods such as Corona, Forest Hills, Jackson Heights, Whitestone and Bayside, Sky View Center retailers stand to benefit from incredible population density – more than 750,000 people live within three miles – and easy accessibility by car and mass transit.  Sky View Center, located at College Point Boulevard and Roosevelt Avenue in Flushing, Queens, is just two blocks from Main Street, the LIRR and the #7subway, a 22 minute ride to Grand Central. It is also just a short walk from the Mets’ brand new Citi Field and the USTA National Tennis Center, venues that attract millions of spectators each year.
