Autism Speaks to hold New Jersey fund-raiser

Posted in Philanthropy at 4:53 pm by philanthropynews

Hawthorne — Autism Speaks will be hosting the Walk Now for Autism Speaks fundraising event at Bergen Community College in Paramus on Sunday, May 23.

For the past several years, many people from the Hawthorne community have come together to raise funds for Autism Speaks, a national non-profit, in an effort to assist those families affected by this neurological disorder.

This year two of Hawthorne’s community-based teams have decided to unite for this event to be more effective in raising autism awareness.

“For Our Children United with Team Jefferson” will walk together in May for this cause. Team captains Sue Garlow and Barrie Facente would like to extend an invitation to all Hawthorne residents to join in this effort.

Please feel free to log on to http://www.walknowforautismspeaks.org to sign up as a walk team participant or to make a donation.
